Special Care for Special Kids

At Our Time Center, our primary objective is to create a secure, structured, and nurturing environment, fostering both safety and enjoyment. We wholeheartedly embrace the core principles of “Three C’s”: Clear, Concise, and Consistent communication, not only with your child but also with you, the parent.

Alongside this, we maintain vigilant sight and sound supervision to ensure a worry-free experience for everyone involved.

Our Time Center serves students and parents in Lehigh Acres, FL and surrounding areas. Areas served are based on services requested.

Formation of Our Purpose

Our Story

Our Time Center (OTC) is a non-profit entity born from the cry of parents. From as far back as we can remember, we have heard parents talk of not having resources and avenues for them and their children with special needs.

It is difficult having a child that requires extra care, because everyone does not understand them, aren’t equipped to care for them, or don’t have the staff to cater to their individual needs. Well, the wait and weight is over! With OTC parents have the flexibility and pleasure of “freedom”. An added wonderful aspect of OTC is that we accept siblings as well, therefore the  headache of juggling multiple placements for every child’s need is no more!

We offer before and after school care, summer camp, school break camps, and monthly “Parents Day Out”, with additional services to come in the near future.

Meet Our Founder

Adrean Johnson

Adrean Johnson is the founder and owner of Our Time Center. She is a native of Florida, married for almost 11 years to her caring husband, James Johnson Jr. and the mother of two amazing children, Zion (9) and Joziah (4).

It was while attending Liberty University in 2004 where she received her BS in early childhood psychology, that she was afforded the opportunity to start her career early. She worked in the children’s psych ward for Central Health (Lynchburg, VA), with Rivermont School’s children with Autism and severe behaviors, and the Opportunity House, a court ordered placement facility for at-risk children.

Having these fantastic experiences caused her to realize what she wanted to spend the rest of her life doing.

Since relocating to Florida she’s worked for Eden Autism Services for two years before transitioning to Lee County School District in Dec of 2011. This transition was necessary, because during that time she was a single foster parent of five children and needed her summers off to accommodate them.

She currently teaches kindergarten and 1st grade social functioning for Lee County Schools. In addition to 18 and 1/2 have years of experience, she’s been blessed with her very own bundle of joy that has an exceptionality, Joziah.
